HEY THERE ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My name's Tynan Manuel - I'm a designer and developer of spaces, levels, mechanics, and experiences. When a player moves through the level space, my goal is for them to enjoy every inch of that space, both visually (through clever asset placement) and mechanically (through smart code implementation).

From an early age I've always loved games - both playing them and messing around in their level editors. Games like Age of Mythology, The Incredible Machine, and Star Wars: Pit Droids were a staple of life in my formative years.  In more recent years, I've worked in Unity, GameMaker, and in level editors of games like Little Big Planet to develop levels and games for others to enjoy.

 

In 2017 I graduated from Brock University with a BA Honours in Interactive Arts and Sciences. My time at Brock was spent learning about different perspectives in life, designing and debating with my colleagues, and learning practical industry skills. Tools such as Unity, C#, GameMaker, the Adobe Suite, and general Object-Oriented Programming skills were learned, as well as more conceptual tools such as Idea Evaluation, Documentation, and Quality Assurance.

On a personal level, I enjoy the finer things in life: friends, family, and felines. And, of course, playing games with all of the above.
