General Design Documents
Please find below two GDD's that I contributed to:
First, the GDD for my university capstone project Joustaposition, which was written, edited, and consulted throughout the 8 month project. I served as one of the two primary authors for this document, though most members of the team contributed in some capacity. I focused on gameplay mechanics, gameflow, world design, and the glossary for my contributions.
Second, a "reverse-engineered" GDD, a solo exercise designed to improve documentation skills. For this exercise, I took a (relatively simple) completed game, and extrapolated what a useful, practical GDD for the project may have looked like. I chose the arcade game Dragon's Lair, and leaned heavily into showing the "level design" for individual scenes that are shown in the game.
